Through this complex project, we created four websites. Mistahiya Development Corporation is the economic development arm of Saulteau First Nations, and there are a variety of companies under their umbrella. We built the main Mistahiya website, along with separate sites for their companies.
The websites include:
Although Mistahiya oversees some very different companies, they all needed to appear cohesive under the corporation. Through our Discovery process, we took the time to really understand both their values and goals as well as the vision they had for their branding and graphics. Then, we created a complete brand package for each of their companies that included custom logos, a brand guide, letterhead, email signatures, PowerPoint presentations, and business cards.
Now, no matter which company a customer is interacting with, it’s clear they’re all part of the Mistahiya family.
We provided the majority of the content for all the websites. Again, it was important that the tone and voice of all the content fit within the Mistahiya brand while still reflecting the uniqueness of each company.
We’re pleased to keep Mistahiya’s data secure and their website loading quickly through hosting at our data center located on Treaty 8 Territory in Edmonton Alberta.
The bear is an important part of Indigenous culture, and we loved creating a log around this powerful, protective animal for Mistahiya. The rest of the graphics followed the inspiration from their logo, and together we created a very cohesive brand and image for them.
Saltmedia Inc operates on the traditional territory of Treaty 8 in what is now known as Grande Prairie. We value the First Nations, Métis, and Inuit who lived and cared for this land long before Canada was founded, and we recognize that it is a privilege to operate our business here.
Our Prince George site operates on the traditional territory of the Lheidli T’enneh.
We are grateful to the Elders and Knowledge Keepers who are with us today, and those who’ve gone before us.
