You don't need to believe in karma to know that the simple act of paying it forward or lending a hand to someone or something that could use your help is totally gratifying. If you haven't done it in a while, volunteer or make a donation to a not-for-profit organization - it's amazing how good it feels to give!
While the holidays tend to bring about the spirit of giving with a little more force than other times of the year, Saltmedia is a great proponent of paying it forward and giving back to the community, wherever possible, and all year long. Whether we're volunteering our time at fundraisers, events and meetings for the several organizations we support, or donating services from our web design company to help an organization that does so much good for the people in our community, we truly believe that everyone benefits when you choose to support local.
So, in the spirit of giving, we're very excited to announce our second Peace Country Website Giveaway; a fun and important contest whereby individuals nominate not-for-profit organizations that they feel add true value to our community and that could benefit from a free website.
Saltmedia held the first-ever Peace Country Website Giveaway last year and we were so enthused by the number of nominations we received, not to mention struck by the sheer number of awesome not-for-profit organizations that could truly benefit from a free website, that there was no question about it - we'd give away another, completely free website, to an organization in 2015! Last year's winner was the Grande Spirit Foundation, a group that helps senior and families in Grande Prairie and the surrounding areas find the affordable housing and quality care they need.
As a web design company, it makes so much sense for us to give back this way, by providing an organization with the online presence they need to better promote their services. We're excited to see who the nominations will be this year and to work with yet another amazing not-for-profit group, building them an attractive and powerful website!
Here's how the Giveaway works:
If you've been in awe of a not-for-profit organization's tireless effort to better the lives of the people in our community, please submit their nomination to our web design company at saltmedia.ca/nominate-a-non-profit-to-win. We will be accepting nominations for registered not-for-profits between January 1st, 2015 and June 15, 2015. We'll announce our 2015 winner on July 1st and one deserving organization will receive a free website, valued at up to $5,000.
We'll work closely with the winning organization to create a website that can be easily found and navigated from any device and that clearly and proudly conveys all of the wonderful services that the not-for-profit provides.
